We can't get enough of the 1960s Malibus!

While it’s not the most underrated muscle car from the era, the 1966 Chevrolet Malibu certainly doesn’t get enough credit for what it brings to the table. Examples like the one being offered through Seven Hill Motorcars remind us that the Malibus were built to be fierce road warriors, and still look amazing to this day.

Sporting a rare combination of Tropic Turquoise (LL) over black bucket seats and a “knee-knocker” tach, this former magazine car has been restored to the highest level of quality. The previous owners of the Chevy were extremely meticulous in their care of the car, and have about $20,000 in receipts showing maintenance and restoration work completed over the years.

Powering the Malibu is a completely rebuilt 327 cubic inch engine. Backing the engine is a Muncie four-speed manual transmission - this is a driver’s car for sure! The shifter on this car is very tight and the clutch is smooth. It also has smooth braking power to slow the street machine with ease.

Also in the engine bay, you’ll find the period correct original air cleaner, valve covers, and other original engine components, which is quite impressive for a car out of the 1960s.

It recently got a new springs, shocks, a rebuilt driveshaft, gas tank, fuel sending unit, a stabilizer bar, and new radio. In addition, the owner gave it factory style power steering to improve control.

The outside is coated in Tropic Turquoise, and finished with a high shine, high gloss coat. It rolls on the period correct dog dish hubcaps and 215/70R14 tires. Even the headlights are the correct T-3s, and the car is solid throughout.

On the inside, the black interior looks like its never even been sat in. The gauges are all crystal clear and the car has the overall condition like it did leaving the dealer lot so many years ago. With only 6,895 miles on the clock, you need to check it out before it gets snatched up - see the car in extremely detailed pictures here.
