This is something out of a fairytale. Well, almost. Motorcar Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is selling a rare beauty that is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Finished in the gorgeous Vivid Rallye Green and White exterior, this classic is one of only 311 L89 Camaros built in 1969. To top it all off, the 1969 Camaro SS pictured here has just 10,630 on the odometer. It practically has its entire life ahead of it, and will certainly only go up in value.
When dealing with a car like this, it really needs no introduction. The numbers and name speak for themselves. The 396 cubic-inch L89 V8 engine was offered at an option cost of $868.95. Mated to a four-speed manual transmission, it produces an impressive 375 horsepower at 7,200 RPMs. In fact, it was the highest-rated regular production order (RPO) engine available for the ’69 Camaro model year.
Apart from the ultra-rare engine and eye-catching color, this 1969 Chevy Camaro SS features both Rally Sport and Super Sport trim options. What’s more, it comes with a host of factory options as well, including the rosewood steering wheel and console, AM/FM radio, power steering, Endura bumper, heavy-duty radiator, and high-ratio 3.73:1 Posi-Traction rear end. It is also equipped with a single Holley Performance four-barrel carburetor.
From the host of images here, you can see that the factory paint job is in pristine condition and the interior is spotless. The underhood area is immaculate too. The previous owner certainly kept it in tip-top shape and it shows. Just look at the shine emitting from this green dream; now look at that twinkle in your eyes. Coincidence? We think not.
Motorcar Gallery is offering worldwide shipping, so don’t fret if you aren’t a local. Contact them for more details, as there were far too many to list here. As the original ad said, “let [them] explain why this car is one of the more important Camaros that you’ll ever come across.” Motorcar Gallery is even welcoming trades for this rare transaction. This dealer normally doesn’t deal in muscle cars, but they could not let this goldmine escape their fingers. So, don’t let it fall through yours either.
