In my personal opinion, the third generation Fox body is my favorite iteration of the Ford Mustang. While this particular body style used to be easy to find at an affordable price, it has certainly become scarcer and more expensive in recent years. This particular 1983 Ford Mustang GLX Convertible is a low-mileage survivor with a manual transmission, making it an impressive example for anyone seeking a Fox of their own.
Bundy Automotive in Tolland, Connecticut offers this convertible âStang for sale. Despite being an early example of a Foxbody, this vehicle is supposedly all original, sporting a nearly flawless interior and a shining exterior with original paint.
I absolutely adore the maroon and white interior theme â neither of these colors are common on more modern vehicles, and the various woodgrain elements provide a nice contrast to those colors. The cockpit looks like itâs in fantastic shape, and it sports various different comfort features, such as cruise control, a premium sound system, power windows, a power convertible top, and âice coldâ air conditioning.
Under the hood, youâll find a 5.0-liter V8 engine, which pairs to a 4-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. Unfortunately, despite having a V8 engine, these earlier Foxbody models arenât the most impressive performers. However, this example recently received an oil change and a few other small service items, with the seller noting that this pony car âruns and shifts great.â
Bundy Automotive is asking $13,900 for this pristine Mustang, which includes a vehicle history report, original owners manual, warranty booklets, and other various documents.
