Here’s your chance to purchase a TV star of a Toyota.

I’m a huge fan of Toyotas, especially the various classic models that used a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Thanks to movies like The Fast and the Furious series, the fourth generation Supra has become one of the more notorious Toyota models amongst enthusiasts, though often times, the same folk will overlook its predecessors. However, in recent years, the tides have changed and people are beginning to appreciate older Supra models, such as this pristine 1979 Toyota Celica Supra.

Gas Monkey Garage from Dallas, Texas offers this beautiful first-generation Supra for sale, and before you ask – yes, this example saw use during filming for an upcoming Fast N’ Loud episode! The folks at GMG purchased this Toyota from a seller in Wyoming who had barely modified it.

The exterior is in excellent shape, with this example still sporting its original paint, even though there are a few small blemishes and an attempt at paint finish correction on the roof. Currently, the car sits on a set of aftermarket alloy wheels, but the sale includes the original Toyota wheels.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find a pretty blue theme throughout. This example includes an optional sunroof, an 8-track player, power windows and more. Unfortunately, there are a few minor imperfections, such as an aftermarket shift boot and a cracked plastic panel under the hand brake, but that shouldn’t deter you from this otherwise well-preserved Supra.

An unmodified 2.6-liter inline 6-cylinder engine is under the hood, and it pairs to a 5-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. Though there is a 5-digit odometer, it has rolled over once, with GMG noting this example has 102,724 miles on it. Additionally, they note that this example runs and drives well, but any buyer should give it a thorough look over before driving it on a regular basis.
