Caution: May cause hunger pangs.

At first glance, this 1965 Chevrolet Nova stands out with its bright orange-on-white paint job. It’s reminiscent of a frozen dessert called the creamsicle, if you will. The orange and “vanilla” flavor combo worked for the ice cream and it definitely works well as a color scheme on this Nova too. AutoBarn Classic Cars in Concord, North Carolina is proud to offer up this beauty for sale for $52, 995. Don’t let the sound of that price deter you, though. This Nova was built to combine performance and class with the looks to boot. It will certainly turn heads no matter where you go, and be a real winner at car shows as well.

The Chevy II/Nova was a small vehicle manufactured by the American automaker in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 model years. It was the top model in the Chevy II lineup through 1968. Nova replaced the Chevy II nameplate for the 1969 through 1979 models when the former badge was dropped.

The 1965 two-door sports coupe you see here is part of its first-generation run. The 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II and Nova were updated with cleaner front-end styling thanks to a fresh and fuller-width grille with new integrated headlight bezels and lowered parking lights. At the rear, the taillight and reverse lights were also restyled.

Apart from its House of Kolor Tangelo/White paint job, this 1965 Nova has an attractive list of added goodies. It received an impressive rotisserie restoration just last year that surely helped take it to the next level. While the original Chevy II was powered by a 194 cubic-inch straight-six engine, this model is powered by one of Chevy's best small blocks – the 383 stroker mated to a Turbo400 automatic transmission. This 383 motor has been carefully built to provide a remarkable drive with dependable street performance. Enhancements include 10:1 pistons (pump gas), World Products cast iron heads, an MSD ignition box, an Edelbrock RPM single-plane intake, a Holley 750cfm double pumper, and a hydraulic flat-tapper camshaft paired with roller rockers. All in all, this 1965 Chevrolet Nova delivers 385 horsepower and 427 pound-feet of torque.

The fully customize tan vinyl interior includes plush bucket seats for added comfort, along with a custom dash with GM NASCAR tach/Stewart Warner gauges and a Planet Audio PGR-35 AM/FM/Blue Tooth stereo. This one-of-a-kind Nova is in excellent condition both inside and out, and is looking for a new owner. Call today! One look at this beauty in the sunlight and you’ll be hooked.
