You could eat out of the engine compartment, if that’s your sort of thing.

Cars naturally get dirty and downright grimy as you drive on roads. The older a car becomes, the more this problem manifests. That’s why it’s always impressive to see something like this 1962 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. Outside and in, this classic looks absolutely stunning, glamorously portraying an iconic era in American automotive history.

First things first, when you pop that glistening white hood, you’ll find a glistening red painted engine block and silky black air cleaner. Every inch of the engine compartment looks so clean, it’s almost like the car just rolled off the assembly line. The numbers-matching 327ci V8 comes with a four-barrel carb and is mated to a four-speed manual, making the car plenty of fun to drive. A dual exhaust system sounds appropriately aggressive. Balancing out that engine is both power steering and power drum brakes.

The moment this car rolls up to any event or gathering, everyone’s eyes will be drawn to the gleaming Ermine White paint job. Dressing up the exterior further is chrome for the bumper guards, half-moon headlight covers, side mirrors, and plenty other components, reflecting the sun with a mirror-like finish. The car also wears all the correct badging, just like when it was brand new. Factory hubcaps with spinners over steel wheels painted red complete the original look of this car, as do the radial tires.

Making the interior really pop is the acres of red vinyl, all of which looks to be in fantastic condition. Bucket seats up front provide excellent support, while a center console adds some nice convenience. Among the factory gauges and controls is a tachometer. The factory AM radio and antenna, chrome tissue box, and seat belts are also included.

Chevrolet has offered the Impala as a trim package and model off and on since 1958, making it one of the longer-running nameplates in the industry. The hopped-up SS model debuted for the 1961 model year and quickly became highly sought-after. Now you have the chance to own this iconic American classic, thanks to GAA Classic Cars.
