This Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I GSR is federally legal and available in the United States.

While Mitsubishi’s Galant VR-4 is a favorite among well-versed enthusiasts, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is practically a household name. To some extent, the Evo owes a lot of credit to the Galant VR-4: Mitsubishi stuffed the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and all-wheel-drive system from the original Galant VR-4 into the much smaller Lancer, resulting in the first Lancer Evolution. This 1992 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I GSR has a handful of modifications, but it also represents a solid example of the original Evo.

Inside, you’ll notice a handful of changes, with the front Recaro seats being the most notable. A Nardi steering wheel and Bozzspeed shift knob nicely complement the seats, and there is also a handful of information gauges located on the passenger side of the dashboard.

This Lancer Evolution has 194,666km on its odometer, which translates to 121,666 miles. Under the hood, you’ll find the 4G63T, a turbocharged, 2.0-liter engine, which pairs to a 5-speed manual transmission. The drivetrain has various enhancements; such as an ARC front mount intercooler, an aftermarket turbo manifold, an HKS air filter, Ralliart oil cap, and an Apexi exhaust.

Toprank Motorsports Inc. is asking $19,995 for this color-shifting Evo. Do you think this modified Evolution I is the right one for you?
