Make the childhood bedroom poster a reality in your garage.

If you think this 1976 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopio looks unbelievably clean, there’s good reason for that. The seller states that it wasn’t registered to drive on the road before they bought it, plus it hasn’t been driven one mile since a full restoration was completed. Just try to find another one as clean as this, because it’s almost guaranteed you can’t. Of course, the fact that only 150 of this specific model was built helps with that.

Making this car even rarer and also adding quite the dramatic effect is the black on black color scheme. No other Countach LP400 Periscopio has that combination. As you can clearly see, the paint is so silky smooth it almost looks as if it were freshly applied and ready to drip off the overhangs. Not that any Countach won’t turn heads, but this one shows exceptionally well. Yes, the scissor doors work, adding that extra bit of drama everyone loves.

The chassis, engine, and transmission numbers all match, so you’re getting the original bull from 1976. A 3929cc V12 engine with six Weber 45 DCOE carbs make for rip-roaring fun. It’s an engine that likes to rev, while the 5-speed manual adds to the engaging nature of the supercar.

Everything but the gauge cluster plate is black inside the car. Supple leather seats add some luxury, while the gated shifter protrudes out of the large center console. Everything is neat and in good repair, including all the buttons flanking the steering wheel on the left.

“Periscopio” means “periscope” in Italian and comes from the small mirror in the prototype’s roof to help you see out the rear better. That mirror was dropped for production, but the name stayed, and so did the tunnel on the roof, adding even more flair to the Italian supercar’s styling. You can purchase this classic supercar through Symbolic International.
