While the Chevelle existed in many shapes and forms, this meticulously restored one is pure muscle.

Without a doubt, the Chevelle is of the more renowned nameplates in Chevrolet’s history. The second-generation model is a favorite among many, especially in the performance-oriented SS trim. With that in mind, this restored 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS makes a great choice for anyone seeking an iconic muscle car.

GR Auto Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan offers this SS for sale. At one point, this example received a meticulous restoration, and the seller notes that “it is a must see car and is ready for anything.” Additionally, this example is a noteworthy LS-5 model, meaning it utilizes a powerful 454 cu.-in. V8 engine.

The exterior features a Placer Gold paint job, and it also features the optional cowl hood, which is in excellent working condition. As you can see, the exterior of this car is extremely straight, and there was a strict focus on keeping this Chevelle SS in an original state. This dedication goes deep, with factory-style flat gray hood latches and hinges, an original exhaust system installed, and plenty more.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find a black interior theme, which nicely contrasts the bright exterior hue. Everything looks flawless, and of course, the factory-spec motif continues here as well.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 454 cu.-in. V8 engine, which makes about 360 horsepower. The 454 pairs to an automatic transmission to drive the rear wheels, and the vehicle’s 5-digit odometer displays 54,222 miles. As stated earlier, this car has a cowl hood, which opens a scoop to breathe cool air into the engine’s air intake. Last but not least, the intake is an aftermarket unit, but the seller includes the original intake and air cleaner with the vehicle’s sale.

GR Auto Gallery is asking $60,900 for this yellow Chevelle. Could you see yourself adding this SS to your collection?
