The example you see here is a numbers-matching C2 Stingray. The name is suiting, especially with its shark-like pointed nose, hood stinger, peaked fenders, and snubbed rear. It is in fair condition; and although it has seen some restoration, this model remains mostly original.

According to the ad, this 1966 Corvette Roadster received an earlier black respray. The chrome on the bumpers is in good condition and the brightwork still shines. The convertible top is operational and begs to be taken off, especially in this amazing weather. All four corners of the car sport shiny polished 5-spoke Corvette wheels with logo-emblazoned center caps.

The interior features the iconic double-brow dashboard, which is in very good condition. The center console and instrument cluster are all clean and look good. Everything in the cabin is model-correct, including the vertically mounted radio and chromed-out shifter. The bucket seats are made of black leather and are also in great shape with inner tuck-and-roll stitched leather and smooth outer bolsters. The door panels are also in pristine condition.

Under the hood, you will find a numbers-matching 327-cubic inch V8 topped by a single four-barrel carburetor and mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The original valve covers are in nice patina form. There is also a chromed air cleaner atop the Chevrolet Red intake manifold. Power disc brakes on all four corners help to stop this beauty at a mark. The undercarriage is solid with good floorpans and rockers.
