On the cusp of the muscle car era, the 1964 Chevelle was not a car to be ignored!

Though most enthusiasts are more familiar with the 2nd-generation Chevrolet Chevelle that the company produced from 1968 to 1972, the first-generation model was an extremely attractive car that undeniably laid down the groundwork its successor to become such a popular model. This 1964 Chevy Chevelle is available for sale, and it’s an extremely pretty coupe with some nice performance-related improvements.

GAA Classic Car Auctions in Greensboro, North Carolina offers up this Chevelle for auction. Inside and out, the vehicle is very clean, sporting a handful of upgrades throughout, as well as some creature comforts too. This particular specimen is from 1964, meaning that it is the first model year of the first generation Chevelle.

The exterior features a Daytona Blue paint color, which looks subtle but also menacing when paired with the aftermarket wheels. All of the chrome shines brightly and all of the panels are straight with no improper gaps.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find an uncomplicated setup featuring two factory front bucket seats. The interior’s theme is mostly black, but some chrome bits provide a nice contrast. This example features a factory tachometer, FM stereo unit, some aftermarket information gauges, an in-dash air conditioning system, and power steering.

Under the hood, there’s a 350 cubic-inch small-block Chevrolet engine. The engine looks extremely tidy, and it pairs to a 4-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. There are some other performance-related upgrades on board as well, such as power front disc brakes and an aluminum radiator.

This Chevelle is an awesome choice for anyone looking to get into an attractive muscle car, especially one with this much history behind its nameplate. It’s especially cool that it features a manual transmission, which will surely make this coupe even more interesting to drive. After getting a glance at this Chevy, you’ll want to make sure that you’re watching when it drives through the auction block.
