A 212-mph sendoff for last of the front-engine Corvettes.

There's no shortage of hype surrounding the all-new 2020 C8 Corvette and its mid-engine layout, but if you want one last crack at the ultimate C7 Corvette, now's your chance. Fast Lane Classic Cars just listed a low-mileage, well-equipped 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for only $135,995 – and that's only a little bit more than the $123,000 starting price of a base ZR1!

The ZR1 was only around for a single model year, and it proved to be the ultimate expression of a Corvette to date. As the sports car world continues to debate the future of a mid-engine Corvette, there was no arguing the performance of the legendary ZR1. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 rated at 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque, and for manual transmission lovers, this car is equipped with the seven-speed manual gearbox. Other equipment on this car include the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, Track Performance Package and ZR1 Carbon Flash wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The car also comes with all of the original sales invoices and paperwork, which shouldn't be too hard to gather since this car was just purchased back in June.

Aside from the more powerful engine, this car received racecar-like aero tuning including the revised grille and the massive rear wing (that is connected directly to the chassis for optimal support). All of this adds up to a car that can accelerate from 0-60 in under three seconds and hit a top speed of 212 mph making it the fastest production Corvette ever. While that title will most likely be stripped away by the mid-engine C8 Corvette, this one is still a special car.

And for that reason, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 is sure to be a future collectible, so get this one before it's gone.
