It’s dark, daring, and devilishly good looking.

GR Auto Gallery is delighted to present this exquisite 1986 Pontiac Trans Am. If you’ve been in the market for a high-performance car with some serious ‘80s styling, then look no further. The third-generation Pontiac Firebird was the first of its kind to feature the center, high-mounted spotlight that visually set the 1986 model year apart from its predecessors. Other visual changes included revised taillights and new striping along the lower portion of the coupe. It was offered as a base Coupe, an SE, and the top-of-the-line Trans Am; this example is the latter.

The third-gen Pontiac Firebird debuted in late 1981 by the American automaker alongside its corporate cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro for the 1982 model year. These were the first Firebirds to feature factory fuel injection, four-speed automatic transmissions, five-speed manual transmissions, four-cylinder engines, 16-inch wheels, and hatchback bodies. All models also received more modern-looking instrument gauges.

This 1986 Pontiac Trans Am offered up here is a mean machine and it’s got the looks and power to back it up. There’s a reason that GR Auto Gallery nicknamed this American pony car the “Night Rider.” It is dressed up in a brilliant black paint job that shines at any angle and in any lighting. The exterior color is complemented by the clean two-tone, black-and-grey interior. The car appears to be in immaculate condition with no unusual wear and tear. It will definitely impress spectators at your local car show and win you some trophies. The car has clearly been well taken care of and is now looking for a new owner to continue that role.
