A no-expense-spared California resto with a numbers-matching engine.

Garage Kept Motors is pleased to announce this stunning 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS for consideration as an addition to your garage. First things first, this is a true SS 396 model with the numbers-matching engine. It is a California car in excellent condition that was treated to a no-expense-spared restoration to bring it to the shape you see it in today. The current asking price is set at $48,500, and you can make your own offer on the car right here.

The example being offered here is one of the cleanest Chevelle’s that Garage Kept Motors has ever had for sale, with a rare factory color combo to boot. The client has owned the car for nine years and restored it from the ground up two years ago. The car is finished in the factory original Tropic Turquoise (Code L) over a Medium Turquoise interior. This is a true Super Sport 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door Sport Coupe and is powered by a rebuilt numbers-matching 396 cubic-inch four-barrel L35 big-block engine that delivers 325 horsepower. No expense was spared in the restoration and you can tell by the car’s quality condition from the inside out.

As you will notice in the photo gallery, the front license plate is a California plate, because this Chevrolet Chevelle SS is originally from the Golden Coast. According to NCRS historic records, the car was originally sold through Lambert Chevrolet of Orland, California. The official GM production date was February 23, 1966 at the Fremont Assembly Plant. This Chevelle comes with power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, and a 12-bolt Posi rear end. The transmission has been upgraded to a 700R4 and a brand-new Vintage Air Conditioning system was just installed. The car fires right up, runs strong, shifts smoothly, and drives great. What’s more, you’ll be getting head nods, waves, and thumbs up everywhere you go. Be prepared to stun at car shows and be immersed in several gas station conversations with this beauty.
