It boasts the right color, the right power, and the right features to make it a winner.

Sound the alarm; this is not a drill. The devilishly good-looking 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute you see here has everything you want and more. That includes big-block power, a four-on-the-floor, the full midnight package, and a muscle car soundtrack that makes traffic clear the way for you. This beauty is currently up for sale through Streetside Classics for $46,995, and you can make an offer on the car right here. Don’t let this hardtop beauty pass you by, especially if you’re a fan of the early Chevelle bodies. Just look at that beautiful C-pillar and subtle aggressive stance.

The black exterior paint is extra shiny thanks to a modern clearcoat. Underneath that, the metal body work is quite solid, with good gaps all around that lead to a deep luster that is a result of a lot of hard work. The mirror-like chrome bumpers certainly give the paint a run for its money. This was the first year for the SS396 as its own separate model, and this tribute gets the details right with the blacked-out grille, faux hood vents, ribbed lower trim panels, and proper Super Sport badging throughout.

If you’re impressed by the exterior, take a breath before you open up that door. Be prepared to find a handsome package that completes the highly desirable full-black presentation inside and out. The bucket seats and center console truly capture this Chevelle’s ultra-comfortable and performance-oriented nature. All of the seats, door panels, dash pad, and headliner are a deep black to match the color scheme. The clean and crisp appearance lets you know that this was a solid investment. Other cabin features include a grippy wood-rimmed steering wheel on an ididit tilt steering column, a glowing white tachometer, full auxiliary readout package, and a Hurst shifter.

While this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle wears the era-correct 396 badging, it’s got even more displacement under the hood. In fact, this classic is powered by a 454 cubic-inch V8 engine upgrade that is complemented by a bright air topper, fabricated valve covers, and a bold block within the pristine black engine bay. Aside from just looking nice, this big-block engine provides a healthy increase in performance thanks to a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer 2.0-intake, HEI ignition, and a set of long-tube headers. You’ll also have complete control over this Chevelle with the four-speed manual transmission. Just listen to the rumbling soundtrack by way of the exhaust cutouts that will intimidate passersby and the competition.
