The 50-year-old Mini is offered for sale by Woodham Mortimer.

What is likely to be the most original Mini in existence is up for grabs through Woodham Mortimer. This i1968 Mk1 Morris Minor-Mini Super De Luxe has only 272 miles on the clock, as is in the condition it would have been sitting in at a dealership 50 years ago. This unique find is still sporting the plastic seat covers, fitted and intact, and is being offered during the 60th anniversary year of the brand.

The car was produced in 1967, which makes it one of the last Mk1 Mini models made, it was then delivered and registered to the first person who purchased it, Mrs. B Jones. It’s said that Jones bought the car to learn to drive on, and when she was unsuccessful in doing so, the car was garaged and remained in her family until recently.

As a result of this car being garaged for so long, this example is an extremely original Mk1 Mini, with the smallest details intact - these details are often overlooked by even the finest restorers. The door strikers are even completely intact, which are usually chipped and the screw aren’t rusted like they usually are.

On the inside, you’ll find the original Tartan Red interior with no fading - the inside looks just as bright as it did when it was new. It features the optional seatbelts that were fitted in car pre-delivery.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO and Chairman of Woodham Mortimer, had to say about the low-mileage Mini Mk1, “This is a truly unique example of the iconic Mini and it is a privilege for Woodham Mortimer to offer it for sale. The car offers the unrepeatable opportunity to own what must be the world’s most original example of Britain’s most-loved classic car.”
