The first thing everyone notices when they see anyone getting in and out of this vehicle is the doors, and how couldn’t you? How they fold up and out is unique, because they’re not gullwing or scissor doors, which still get people talking, but are something else entirely. Adding to the flair of this roadster are the turbine-styled wheels, large front fender vents, side-exit exhaust at the front fenders, aggressive nose design, smoked taillights well ahead of their time, and a prominent rear diffuser. You very much get the impression this car is not to be trifled with.

What you don’t see is the carbon fiber reinforced plastic under the slick silver paint, plus a carbon-fiber chassis with aluminum reinforcements. That makes for a strong and lightweight construction, maximizing what the hand-built, supercharged 5.5-liter V8 whips out. Officially, horsepower has been rated at 617, while torque is equally impressive at 575 lb.-ft. Paired with a performance-tuned automatic transmission, this car does 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. It can also hit 206 mph.

If that makes you feel a little skittish about this car, keep in mind there are carbon fiber-reinforced ceramic brakes as well as a four-position Airbrake system for secure stopping power at any speed. The engine is pushed back far enough that the weight balance between the front and rear is optimized, so you’ll find this car handles like a dream.

Such a special vehicle deserves a sumptuous interior, and that’s exactly what you get. Red leather covers the seats, center console, and dash topper. The seats are made of carbon fiber. Fingertip shift controls on the steering wheel allow you to manually transition gears.
