This classic is only 1 of 114 with this transmission.

Pontiac’s Trans Am was their performance crown jewel of the muscle car world. Since the automaker had such tremendous success with the 1969 Firebird, Pontiac decided to offer a Trans Am package known as the WS4 (Trans Am Convenience and Sports Package). The Trans Am was offered mid-year and rumors were flying of a revamped F-Body change for the 1970 model, so only 697 Firebird TAs were produced and sold including eight convertibles. However, only 114 were built with the transmission in this fully restored 1969 Pontiac Trans Am offered by Duffy's Classic Cars.

All classic Trans Ams were offered in Polar White and adorned with Tyrol Blue racing stripes, tail panel, and decals. Forcing fresh air into the engine bay is the TA-exclusive hood with driver-controlled functional air inlets and functional rear-facing fender scoops. The exterior features a set of 7-inch Rally II wheels wrapped with Goodyear Polyglass F70xl4s tires.

Powering this rare beast is high output 400cui V8 engine with standard Ram Air induction, also known as the Ram Air III. The original 400 Turbo Hydramatic transmission shifts power down to the 3.55 posi rear end, and power steering makes turning effortless. Handling is covered thanks to a heavy-duty suspension with a one-inch stabilizer bar.

Open the doors to a correct factory interior in Lombardi Oyster White. While the inside mimics basic Firebirds, an optional rally cluster features a 160-speedometer and 8000-RPM tachometer, and 95,000 miles reads on the odometer.

Recently buffed and waxed, this rare classic is ready for Saturday cruises and Sunday car shows while turning every head along the way. This may be the perfect Trans Am you can't pass up, so cleaning up some garage space might be in order. This car is listed at $99,950, but feel free to make an offer here
