A supercharged Mopar heart makes this vintage Ford destroy drag strips.

Are you tired of the same old boring classic cars and factory restorations? Do you crave something different and interesting? Do you want to shout from the rooftops that numbers matching motors are not important, and you care about nothing more than utter automotive enjoyment? If this all speaks to your soul and makes you dream of gasoline explosions and tire smoke, we have found the perfect car: this 1923 Ford Roadster, a fully prepped drag car that makes enough power to spin the world backwards.

It's equal parts mayhem and childhood wonder, and even comes decorated with a Loony Tunes livery for that extra dose of silliness. We love it.

Bolted to the front of what’s left of this old Ford roadster is a 392 cubic inch HEMI V8 that is tuned and fettled to hell and back. On top of that you will see a massive Littlefield 671 supercharger, perched like a tiny hat on a clown’s head. Dump some methanol into the fuel system and this slab of vintage bolts and madness will dump 1,700 horsepower into the rear wheels.

In case you couldn’t tell from the look of the thing, it is not exactly street legal, but who cares? The NHRA certified cage has been dated through to 2022. That means you can take this beast to most any drag strip in the country and burn through as many sets of tires as your heart desires.

If you are one of the adventurous souls out there who yearns for something different from a “showroom original” vintage machine, you can actually buy this thing. Call Streetside Classics and you can park this collection of insanity and shenanigans at your house for a fiver under $36,000. You can spend more money than that buying a Toyota Camry.

It certainly isn't a subtle machine, and it won't win any concours awards, but it's hard to argue with the entertainment value that something like this could provide. It's the kind of car that just makes you feel a little more alive.
