Five football fields of auction tents will create one massive billboard!

Phoenix-based auction house Russo and Steele recently announced plans for its upcoming Scottsdale auction event in January. To celebrate 20 years of auctioning classic and collector cars, Russo and Steele is changing locations to allow for better amenities and more auction space.

In recent years, the Scottsdale auction event has been held at the Salt River Fields near the Talking Stick Resort, but in 2020, the event will move back to a location last used in 2016 to offer better parking, larger display areas and higher visibility for traffic driving by. This site offers more than 20 acres of space, which will allow Russo and Steele to erect five football fields worth of tents that will double as the "world's largest billboard" to the hundreds of thousands of motorists who will drive by the location leading up to the event.

“I've never been more excited to have that microphone in my hand and feel the crowd’s energy from our unique ‘Auction In The Round’ format. This will be our chance to say ‘thank you’ to the many close friends, clients, sponsors and vendors who have been rabidly loyal to Russo and Steele for two decades. We have been fortunate to enjoy an exciting journey these last 20 years, and we cannot be more enthusiastic to celebrate our important milestone this coming January in Scottsdale,” said Drew Alcazar, Russo and Steele president and CEO.

The new location will be easier to access off the main highway, closer to the parking lots for attendees and it will also allow for an improved weather contingency. Russo and Steele will kick off its 20th anniversary in its own backyard running from January 15 through 19, 2020.
