Cameron Diaz posed with this ride for a steamy photo shoot.

Vintage American muscle cars are always a treat to see and are also quite enjoyable to drive. Some are real standouts. The first thing anyone will notice about this 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible is the Panther Pink paint, which is highly desirable and so very distinct. Paired with white stripes and a white interior, this isn’t a vehicle you forget having seen anytime soon.

This Challenger R/T really brings the heat with a 383ci big block V8 engine paired with a heavy-duty A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Lay the hammer down and you’ll feel everything surge forward with ferocity, no double-clutching necessary.

You shouldn’t worry about keeping this machine reigned in. Thanks to power steering and power brakes, wrangling this down any street or strip isn’t overly difficult. For good measure, a power top makes enjoying the fresh air or protecting that pretty interior super easy.

As they say, the devil is in the details, and when it comes to the fine points on this Dodge you won’t be disappointed. It rolls on Rallye wheels and features bucket seats up front. The shaker hood is quite prominent, leaving that glossy black scoop exposed for all to be warned you aren’t messing around. The paint, badges, hood pins, and even the chin spoiler all look absolutely immaculate. Even more impressive, there’s no staining in the interior. The dash, controls, and gauges look impossibly fresh.

The seller says there are two build sheets included in the sale, which is a huge bonus. For 1971 Dodge only sold 2,165 convertible Challengers. Panther Pink paint was a special order option, so this car is a rare ride indeed. Combined with the show-ready quality of this Mopar makes it highly collectible and just plain amazing to look at. The car also was used in a photo shoot with Cameron Diaz back in the day, adding to the boasting privileges.
