Walking up to this 1965 Buick Special, the first thing you'll notice is the high-level build quality thanks to a frame-off restoration. Everything from the paint to the body gaps is as close to perfect as you could expect, while the chrome and detail work make it look more like a well-preserved Sunday cruiser than a go-fast sedan. The inside offers more of the same quality with an interior that is mostly all original with an amazing attention to detail and flawless execution. In fact, the only indication that this car has been modified is the cue-ball topped shifter positioned in front of the bench seat.

That cue ball and Hurst shifter are the first clues that this is no factory restoration, and the Tremec five-speed racing manual transmission these attach to might be the best modification made to the car. This modern transmission is mated to a 340 CID V8 with a four-barrel carb, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 10-bolt rear end with 3.55 gears and Posi-traction. Bottom line, this car might look like a show-quality grocery getter, but rest assured, this sleeper has what it takes to embarrass some flashy muscle cars.
