This mashup was done professionally by Karl Kustom Corvettes.

Combining the iconic looks of old with the performance of new, this 2008 Chevrolet Corvette wears the skin of a 1963 C2 Corvette Stingray. This could have been done poorly, but the work was performed flawlessly by Karl Kustom Corvettes. The result is a red, sexy machine which gives you all the charm of the first year of the C2 ‘Vette as well as the kind of modern power and reliability to keep your heart thumping. Even better: this amazing car is available for purchase through Marshall Goldman Motor Sales, so you don’t have to just fantasize about it.

Flawless Victory Red with pristine chrome highlights literally makes the amazing exterior shine. Both the nose and tail on this car look amazingly like the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, including billet inserts in the hood to simulate the grilles from the ‘63. From the side profile, you can see the shape of a C6 Corvette, almost like someone has played a clever optical illusion with this vehicle. Big knock off-style wheels help keep the vintage vibe going.

With a mere 100 original miles on the clock, this Corvette is pristine throughout. A customized interior features a Torch Red and Black two-tone design. Custom embroidery on the seats and a two-tone steering wheel are also reminders this isn’t your run-of-the-mill C6. There are also all kinds of modern goodies like power-adjustable seats, a Bose audio system, and navigation. However, this ride isn’t just about staying comfortable, because the LS3 V8 and 6-speed manual transmission can make things as hot as you want them.

For one model year, 1963, GM made the Chevy Corvette coupe with a split rear window. It was the first year of production for the C2 Stingray, but thanks to complaints from drivers about the split obstructing their view, it went away. Now collectors salivate over the design, but scooping a ’63 C2 coupe is difficult. By snagging this car, you get hard-hitting modern performance, amazing vintage looks, and some nice comforts rolled into the same package.
