This British classic is in barn find condition.

Standing out among an impressive selection of classic Jaguars, this 1970 Jaguar E-Type is in genuine survivor condition. Just like a barn find car, this convertible has a well-earned patina, having never been through a restoration since it rolled off the dealership lot.

If you want a car that has its story written all over the exterior and interior, this one most definitely does. While the original Light Blue paint shines up nicely, you’ll see scratches and other blemishes, all of which testify to how well-loved this vehicle has been. That being said, there’s no major body damage, with all the different panels sitting straight and fitting together nicely. The chrome trim pieces, including a rear luggage rack, all look great for the age and unrestored state of this Jaguar. There’s no room for doubting whether or not this classic has been well cared for throughout its long life.

Miraculously, the convertible top is in excellent condition. While the seats haven’t fared as well, all the factory gauges and switchgear is present, making this car quite complete.

Don’t worry about whether this E-Type will run well, because it actually has had work done in that area. A mechanical refresh, including a Stromberg Carburetor rebuild, means this Jag’s 4.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine runs nice and strong. That means you can take it out on the open road and really feel this classic stretch its legs, experiencing why the Jaguar E-Type has been so beloved by those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Normally, a car like this would have a pretty rusty undercarriage and possibly major suspension issues. Whoever drove this before was obviously aware of the potential for such problems, because the undercarriage looks spotless. That’s the icing on the cake with this numbers-matching Jaguar E-Type.
