You don’t see many of these convertible pony cars anymore.

Feeling the wind through your hair is far better when you’re behind the wheel of this 1967 Pontiac Firebird Sprint Convertible. Fresh on the market and ready for a new driver, it has a lot to offer. Mayfair Maize paint shines quite well and combines with other period-correct details to recreate a hot car in its first year of production.

All the details look to be in at least presentable condition, so you can immediately impress with this Pontiac. That includes a Black convertible top and interior, dual exhaust, center console, and a factory AM/FM radio. Black vinyl upholstery for the front buckets and rear bench looks fresh, matching the black carpet and dash. While the center stack has a woodgrain surround, the factory steering wheel rim itself is made of actual wood, which is a really nice touch for what was back in the day a stripped-down muscle car.

This car rides on genuine Pontiac Rally wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/As wrapped around them, providing plenty of grip. All the correct badging and trim pieces are present, providing an accurate depiction of what this classic was like when new.

Under the hood is a 3.8-liter overhead cam inline 6-cylinder with a 4bbl Edelbrock carb. You get to control that power through a floor shifter, channeling everything to those rear tires. Choose to either cruise slow and enjoy the views, or slam the pedal down to feel the exhilaration of rocketing forward in this ride.

With only 557 of these ’67 Pontiac Firebird Sprint Convertibles built, this is a rare bird. This one rolled off the Lordstown, Ohio assembly line in the second week of May on 1967. Tracking down another like this will require some patience. If you’d rather make an offer, get in touch with Classic Car Liquidators directly.
