The only way this car could be more British is if the steering wheel were on the right.

While the British didn’t invent the roadster, they definitely did perfect it. That’s clearly displayed by this 1952 Jaguar XK120. The beautiful red car is quite literally artwork on wheels, impressive down to the smallest details. A big contributing factor in its impressive presentation, according to Frazier Motorcar Company, is the fact it was recently restored JD’s British Cars in Nashville, Tennessee. The company has a reputation for masterful work, however you should look over the pictures and decide for yourself how it turned out.

Apparently, the current owner of the car is only the third person to have owned it. The Jaguar has spent much of its life stashed away out of sight in a garage and then a barn. As you can clearly see, the luscious Red paint and fine chrome treatments beg to be shown off. The lucky future owner also gets to revel in the finely-crafted Tan interior. If the weather takes a turn, a fresh Tan convertible top provides proper shelter for those immaculate leather seats.

With the horrors of WWII still fresh on everyone’s minds, including the British still recovering from the devasting air raids, Jaguar shocked everyone by debuting the XK120 in 1948 at the London Motorshow. Not only was the car drop-dead gorgeous, it promised astonishing performance.

Under the hood of this car sits the 3.4-liter inline double-overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine which made waves back in the day. It was officially rated at 160-horsepower, which was impressive level of power even for a sports car. The driver was able to control engine revs through the four-speed manual transmission. Even more impressive, a Jaguar XK120 had achieved a record-breaking top speed of 132.6 mph.

Now is the time for this well-loved and accurately-restored British beauty to change hands. Hopefully it goes to someone who appreciates what it’s all about, because such a fine machine needs to be cherished. If you believe that’s you or someone you know, contact Frazier Motorcar Company for details on arranging a sale.
