Never repainted, this vintage Vette L88 has been meticulously cared for over the past five decades. The interior is original and the chassis has been well-preserved and still retains visible inspection marks. Under the hood sits the numbers-matching open-chamber 427cui L88 V8 engine and backed by an M22 aluminum-case 4-speed manual transmission. From the factory, Chevy's highly modified 427 V8 was said to generate 435-horsepower, but the real power output is much higher and falls between the 540- and 580-horsepower range. Even more, this rare vintage Vette is said to conquer the quarter-mile in the mid-to-high 11-second range in factory form.
