You may be hard-pressed to find a better example of an unmodified '65 Malibu SS convertible.

When it comes to classic cars, it is getting harder and harder to find that perfect example in original condition. As time marches on, the search becomes even more difficult. If looking for an original first-generation Chevelle, look no further. Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery is pleased to offer this stunning first-generation 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS convertible with less than 22,000 miles on the clock.

According to the listing, this classic beauty went under the knife for a restoration at some point in its life, and the only modification found on the vehicle is that the car was originally white. Now shining brightly in a brilliant Regal Red, the body of this beaut is in immaculate shape with the gaps and body lines all remarkably straight. All of the chrome parts, brightwork, and glass are all in excellent condition. Even more, the power black convertible top appears to be in fantastic condition and works as it should for the driver to drop the top and cruise. Original Malibu SS wheel covers are placed over new chrome reverse wheels and are wrapped with new whitewall radial rubber.

Stuffed under the hood is the original numbers-matching 283cui V8 engine that has been rebuilt and topped with a factory 2BBL carburetor. Smooth shifting is provided by the numbers-matching two-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission. Additional rumble and performance comes from the dual exhaust complete with chrome tips. Everything on this car is factory including the suspension and rear end stuffed with 3.50 gears.
