This replica ticks all the right boxes.

Owning an original Porsche 356 Speedster is a goal many have, but high prices thanks to most of that first generation not surviving are a steep barrier to overcome. That’s what makes this 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica so compelling. For a reasonable $37,900 through Cloud 9 Classics you get the look of the classic car as well as some nice modern features.

This car is a product of Vintage Motorcars out of California. They have a stellar reputation and the reasons why are definitely showcased in this replica Porsche. The chassis come from Volkswagens and have been customized in a number of ways, including being shortened. A reinforced steel subframe is also used. Hand-laid fiberglass for the body looks excellent at every angle, perfectly recreating the curves of the 356 Speedster.

Wearing a correct color called Auratium Green, you’d be hard-pressed to pick out details which indicate this car isn’t original, unless it was parked next to one. From the trim pieces to the headlights, taillights, even the badges this vehicle looks like an authentic piece of vintage German engineering. There’s also a nice light tan canvas top for when you don’t want to drive with the wind in your hair. What’s more, this is a brand new car with under 10 test miles on the odometer, so everything about it is absolutely flawless.

That authentic presentation continues to the light tan interior, a space where many replicas fall short. You get to sit on Speedster seats with heaters embedded in them, while door-mounted document pockets with closing flaps are a very nice detail. The dash is painted to match the exterior, but the dash pad is the same soft leather found on the seats. As the driver, you have the pleasure of using VDO gauges which look period-correct, but there’s a digital odometer. Tan carpeting matches the rest of the interior while custom Coco floormats complement everything perfectly. Finishing out the beautiful interior is an Ivory Banjo steering wheel with a Porsche horn button as well as a vintage-styled turn signal lever.

Finally, in the rear is a brand new 1914cc engine with dual Kadron carburetors. It provides plenty of power to make the car move in a hurry, while a manual transmission only adds to the fun.

Enjoying all the timeless looks of a Porsche 356 Speedster combined with modern features and a brand new engine is an incredible thing. Contact Cloud 9 Classics for details, and also check out the array of other cars for sale. The company even offers a Dream Car Locator service.
