The auction ends soon.

Over 230 different model race cars are heading to auction in Australia. Even though it’s on the other side of the world, you can bid online for these collectibles, which are pretty impressive. Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers will be hosting this unique auction. Even better, these model cars are selling at no reserve. However, if you want a shot at any of them you need to get a move on it because the auction ends in a little over a day.

The collection of model cars is impressive and vast. It includes every Ford Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 winner since 1967, including the Eggenberger Motorsport Ford Sierra driven by Steve Soper and Pierre Dieudonne from 1987 when the team was disqualified. Almost all of the cars driven touring car champions by Alan Moffat and Dick Johnson are represented in this collection.

There’s even the Mad Max Interceptor movie car included as one of the lots, showing this collection is all about Australian automotive pride and will appeal to Ford fans from around the world.

Not all of the cars are representative of Australian motorsports. For example, the 2013 DeWalt Ford Fusion NASCAR driven by Marcos Ambrose is included. So are the first three Ford GT40s from the 1966 24 Hours at Le Mans, which are quite popular at the moment thanks to the Ford v Ferrari movie. There are a few other memorabilia pieces included in the collection, like mini race helmets signed by the drivers. In other words, there’s a little bit of something for just about everyone.

Many of the model cars come with their original boxes, something people don’t always keep when they collect. However, those boxes are part of the nostalgia and absolutely make the cars worth even more.

Remember, this auction closes at 10am AEDT on Sunday, December 8. Depending on where you are in the world, that’s most likely on December 7. Visit the auction by clicking here.
