This is one special truck.

Not everyone has the time or interest in building a meticulously-crafted classic truck. That doesn’t mean you can’t buy one and enjoy all the fun of showing it off. This 1953 Ford F-100 has gone through a frame-off restoration which left no stone unturned, plus it boasts a professionally-built engine. It’s so good-looking and all-around balanced, it’s a national award winner.

After the restoration on this vehicle was completed last summer, it went to the F-100 Supernationals and snagged Ultimate 10 honors. That’s not really surprising, because this truck presents incredibly well. It all starts with a glossy Ford Toreadors Red Metallic 2-stage paint job which looks velvety smooth. All the body panels are straight and blemish-free. Then there’s the walnut bed, adding a richness which goes beyond what you normally see in these trucks.

But it’s the details which really make this Ford a show winner. On either side of the chromed grille are modern headlights. Above that on the leading edge of the hood sits a unique Ford badge. The cab features GTO bucket seats from the modern era, wrapped with premium Italian leather There’s also Vintage Air conditioning, a modern Pioneer sound system, plus a steering wheel with a polished wood rim.

What matters most is the 302ci Ford V8 professionally assembled by Terry Walters Precision Engines. It includes an Edelbrock Performer intakes, Holley 4bbl carb, aluminum Roush heads, Ford Racing breather, and many other upgrades. Let’s just say this truck can really scoot with 370-horsepower on tap. An AOD 4-speed transmission and Currie 9-inch with 3.73 gears as well as a locking differential handle all that power with ease.

Old Ford F-100s aren’t all that uncommon, even now, but many have lived a hard life and show it. This one has been worked over with a fine tooth comb, making it clean and well-composed in every detail. If you want to look into buying this truck, contact RK Motors for details.
