With just 77,200 miles showing on the odometer, it’s no wonder this Nissan is looking so good. A white paint job accentuates the straight, blemish-free body panels quite well. Fresh chrome on the bumpers, fender-mounted side mirrors, grille, and other trim pieces preserves the classic look of this ride.

Most people would never suspect with that OEM-looking exterior that a far more potent engine sits under the hood. To ensure the 2.0-liter SR20DE doesn’t run dry in a hurry, there’s a 19-gallon fuel tank made of aluminum mounted in the trunk. Considering this car originally came with a 1.3-liter engine, the increased tank capacity is absolutely necessary.

Also boosting performance is an updated suspension, letting this Bluebird stick corners well enough. Nice 14-inch Formula One wheels and Hankook Optimo tires certainly help as well, plus they look nice. Also included are braided steel brake lines and Wilwood brakes for the front axle.

While the interior is mostly factory-original, there are some nice upgrades included. The BMW E30 Recaro front seats are one of the biggest changes. The steering wheel and gauges are all original, plus you get the charm of window cranks and the factory radio.

If you’re like most Americans, the Bluebird is a strange, possibly completely mysterious vehicle. Launched under the Datsun brand for 1950, it stuck around through the 1990s, so it’s impact on JDM cars was pretty pronounced. This third generation was the first to come with a four-wheel independent suspension on a Nissan ever. Nissan used these cars in motorsports with a surprising amount of success.

Contact Driver Motorsports with questions or to make an offer on this Nissan. The dealer provides parts and other services as well.

Be sure to check out the vehicle inventory at Driver Motorsports. There are quite a few impressive JDM cars to choose from. The dealership is also looking for consignments, if you want to sell a car.
