This beautiful American masterpiece is headed to auction.
Really wow people when you pull up in this 2005 Ford GT. While owning any GT is certainly impressive, this one is unique even among its peers. Only five 2005 models were ordered with the stripe delete, so you’re going to really stand out. This American supercar is part of the Winter AutoFest Lakeland auction being put on by Carlisle Auctions, so now is the time for action. The auction and car show are set to take place in Lakeland, Florida, Feb. 21 & 22 (car show runs Feb. 21-23).
You’ll notice that uninterrupted red paint on the exterior of this Ford looks almost perfect. The seller states there is no damage, plus no paintwork has been performed, so you just get that deep shine from nose to tail. With a mere 1,531 miles on the odometer it isn’t difficult to figure out why. It also explains why the black interior appears almost new, with no visible damage to the seats, door panels, dash, or anywhere else.
Of course, one of the best reasons to be interested in a car like this is the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 combined with a manual transmission, plus a hydroformed aluminum and composite chassis. Brembo brakes help contribute to excellent handling, while acceleration is unbelievable. Ford made just over 2,000 of these retro-inspired supercars for the 2005 and 2006 model years, so they’re desirable among collectors today.
