This car looks fast and backs that up.

Not every customized car which looks fast is, because looks aren’t everything. This 1966 Ford Mustang will make people stop and stare, but it backs that up with some unexpected power, making for the best of both worlds. This excellent American muscle care is headed to Carlisle Auctions as part of the upcoming Winter AutoFest Lakeland auction. Both the auction and car show are scheduled for February 21 and 22 and will take place in Lakeland, Florida (the car show goes from February 21-23).

That Maroon exterior certainly does scream for attention. It pairs excellently with the black hood scoop, chin spoiler, side scoops, wheels, and other trim pieces for a strong fashion statement. That theme continues to the interior, where Maroon dominates along with Cream accents on the seats, center console, and door panels. The Black dash and wood-rimmed steering wheel complete the look. You also get a Vintage Air AC unit, for good measure.

Despite a tight design inside and out, the way this Mustang really shines is in performance. A 351ci Roush V8 with fuel injection hits hard with a peak 500-horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque. Nobody will expect that kind of power from a pony like this. That kind of performance is made possible with 8 individual throttle bodies and aluminum heads. You enjoy maximum control through the 5-speed manual transmission. Add to that power steering and power Wilwood disc brakes.

Don’t forget that Carlisle Auctions is offering quite a few other classic cars for you to bid on. You can also sell your own collectible vehicle, since they’re on the lookout for high-quality consignments.

Since this Ford Mustang is headed to the auction block, you could get it for a great deal. Register to bid so you have a chance at making it yours. Remember that being a bidder at Winter AutoFest auction means you and one guest get full access to the hospitality area during both days of the auction. In addition, you get two multi-day passes to Winter AutoFest, an exciting car show event, automotive flea market, and car corral. Additional guest passes for the auction are available for $50.00 each.
