Taken in part exchange the Fastback had been mechanically overhauled by the previous owner
Cosmetically she was acceptable, whilst not up to our normal expectations
So without hesitation we set to and stripped her back down to bare metal
Metallic red was changed to Oxford Blue (with our usual hint of black to darken to colour a smidgen)
For the interior we chose Soft Tan, hand made to our own colour choice and also with the smoothest hides we could find - very expensive but oh so gentle to feel and sit on
The Wilton carpets had over mats to contrast the under carpets - both bound in same soft tan leather
The Webasto sunroof we disposed of, and our team of metal workers profiled a new roof panel in aluminium
We also fabricated a set of rear wheel spats, common on the 'R' Type Continental, but not so on the 'S' Type
One of the most beautiful and graceful Coupe's ever penned, this example seems to be appreciated by everyone who see's her on the street
