STK 3046 1965 Plymouth Barracuda
The first generation Barracuda was introduced in 1964. It was based on the Plymouth Valiant that utilized a uni-body structure. However, this new Barracuda was configured with a fastback body that was totally unique. Our 1965 Barracuda received a full restoration. The original EE-code Barracuda Dark Blue was professionally re-sprayed (2012) as a two-stage finish and is in good condition. The vinyl interior has been restored to original appearance. Seating has been reupholstered and new carpeting has been installed. The dash is fitted with an Autogage tach and the classic Barracuda 'wood-grain' spoke wheel is a great accent. (A set of aftermarket gauges has also been installed but are currently inop.) Most notably, the huge rear tinted window is also in very good condition - replacements are rare. Our Barracuda is powered by a 225ci 'slant six' donated by a '72 Dodge Dart that has been professionally built and sounds strong. It is fitted with an Offenhauser 4-barrel intake, Holley 4-barrel carb, Holman-Moody HM-6250 performance cam and MSD ignition. It is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and exhaust is routed through a split tube header to a free flowing system with 'cutouts'. The front suspension is twin-torsion bar paired with rear leaf springs. The chassis is equipped with factory manual steering and 4-wheel drum brakes. Period correct 15” American Racing 5-spoke chrome alloys mount Futura radials. Classic MOPARs are more in demand now than ever before. If you are looking for a solid example of a Gen 1 'Cuda, take the time to see this one - we believe that you will be pleased. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
