Collectible Motor Car of Atlanta is pleased to offer this terrific 1958 Chevrolet Corvette. The first-generation Corvettes were introduced late in the 1953 model year, and produced through 1962. This generation is commonly referred to as the "solid-axle" generation. In an era of chrome and four headlamps, the Corvette adapted to the look of the day. The 1958 model year and the four that followed all had the exposed four-headlamp treatment and prominent grilles (number of teeth in the grille reduced from thirteen to nine for 1958). A faux-louvered hood and chrome trunk spears were unique to 1958 year-model. The interior and instruments were updated by Chevrolet, including placing a tachometer directly in front of the driver.
This 1958 Corvette is finished in Snowcrest White with Silver Blue coves with a matching White hardtop (and white soft top) over Blue-Grey interior. Though the 1958 Corvette came equipped with a 283c.i. V8, this one has been upgraded with a peppy 327c.i. V8 back by a desirable 4-Speed manual transmission. The 327 V8 was actually introduced in the Corvette in the '62 year-model. This 327 is equipped with an Edelbrock intake, 2 carbs, and air cleaner. A recent upgrade has been performed on the brakes with a modern brake booster. This is a super-clean Vette ready for the cruise-in's and dependable enough to be a daily driver. It is no secret the First-Gen Corvettes are outrageously popular and a wise investment. Inquire today.
