Enter the end of the Dentside generation of Ford Trucks. For 1978 and 1979, Ford continued the trend of front fascia restyling; this time with a squared off look. This now iconic two year run is often referred to as the last of the great classically styled Ford trucks.
Our 1978 Ford F-250 4x4 Ranger is no exception. A factory Deluxe TuTone pickup in Light Blue over Wimbledon White with full race track trim, this truck represents a very honest, dry example from the era. Body panels are in good condition, and all areas of typical concern are in good order including, inner fenders, lower cab corners, upper drip rails, door seams/jams, and engine bay supports.
Not without some character throughout, the truck is powered by its 351 V8 engine, mated to a manual 4-speed transmission on the floor. Recently serviced and ready to go, a set of factory steelies were also painted to match the Wimbledon White body; contrasted against the beautiful Light Blue upper and lower body panels. The perfect pair if you ask us.
This truck was originally delivered and sold new on March 27th, 1978 from Butterfield Ford of Sandy, Utah. The truck remained in the area for its entire existence over the last 43+ years until being acquired at the end of 2021.
