The two-seat Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, a retractable-hardtop convertible, is constructed mostly of aluminum and is offered with a V-6. The SL450 gets a 362-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, With rear-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Keyless access and push-button start are now standard, and a new limited-edition Grand Edition is available. The Grand Edition features Graphite Grey paint, AMG 10-spoke wheels, revised front bumper styling, brown and black Nappa leather upholstery with gray contrast stitching and piping, embroidered floormats, Grand Edition badges and the Premium and Driver Assistance packages. Mercedes produced only 100 SL450 Grand Editions.

This Gorgeous SL comes with features not found on many other cars. The power-retractable roof can be raised or lowered while the car is moving at up to 25 mph. When the top is up, an available panoramic glass section can automatically change from dark to transparent. An available active suspension adjusts to reduce body roll in corners and lowers automatically at high speeds.

Grand Edition - this is what especially exclusive Mercedes-Benz special edition models are called. The new Grand Edition model of the SL 450 come with numerous highlights to the interior and exterior that create an even more luxurious driving experience.
The SL Grand Edition is available in Graphite Grey with applications in high- gloss chrome and matte silver to ensure a special look for the front bumper. The Grand Edition models have exclusive 19-inch front and 20-inch rear AMG 10-spoke forged wheels. These are painted high-gloss black and have a high- sheen rim lip and spokes. The badges with the SL Grand Edition logo placed laterally on the mudguards subtly reference the special model's status.

The designo Tundra Brown Pearl leather with its shimmering metallic surface catches the eye on the interior, with details such as fine diamond quilting, piping in designo Golden Olive Pearl and an embroidered special model logo on the head restraints. The multi-function sports steering wheel is also designed in Tundra Brown Pearl leather. The grip zone is particularly easy on the hand in perforated black Nappa leather. The Grand Edition will also receive the sports suspension, which is lowered by 10 mm for firmer tuning and sportier driving dynamics.
