STK 3585 1971 Dodge Charger R/T
The Dodge Charger R/T was one of MOPAR's last true muscle cars. Based on the 'B' body platform and fitted with a powerful Chrysler drivetrain, the Charger R/T was a perfect example of muscle. This '71 Charger R/T was manufactured in Canada, equipped with a 440ci 'Wedge'. It is said to be 1 of only 332 produced as a 440ci/4-speed car. The 440/4sp model was also equipped with the HD 'Dana' differential like Hemi equipped cars. The Aztec Gold exterior has been well maintained and is in very good condition. The vinyl top is excellent and the body is accented with R/T stripping, front/rear spoilers and hood scoops/pins. Exhaust exits the rear of the car through Chrysler's slotted 'Machine-Gun' tips. An original black vinyl bucket seat interior is in very good condition. There is a full console with 'pistol-grip' shifter, rally dash gauges w/tach, nice carpeting, tinted windows and a factory AM sound system to provide tunes.
This Charger is powered by a Magnum 440ci RB-series 'Wedge' that is a replacement block and has been completely rebuilt. It is equipped with aftermarket aluminum heads, original cast iron intake and correct Carter AVS-4V carburetor. These motors were conservatively rated at 375hp in '71. It is backed by a Chrysler A-833 series 4-speed manual gearbox and, as noted above, said to be equipped with the very rare 'Dana' posi-traction differential and 3.54:1 gearing. The chassis is fitted with manual steering and power disc/drum brakes w/dual master. Our Charger strikes a nice stance with torsion bar front suspension, 6-leaf rear suspension and HD front sway bar. Factory Chrysler sport wheels mount 15” BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. This is a rare MOPAR - study the photos. This Dodge Charger R/T is impressive. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”
