There were only 2,022 Ford GTs produced in 2005, and this one has a 5.4-liter DOHC V8 engine that replaces the stock Lysholm supercharger with a Heffner Performance twin-turbocharger system with 8,800 miles. Aside from the optional BBS forged wheels, slotted front and cross-drilled rear brake rotors, an onboard fire suppression system, a Turbosmart adjustable boost controller, air conditioning, power windows, an aftermarket stereo, a Heffner Performance exhaust system, and rear bumperettes in place of the factory rear bumper, it is finished in Mark II Black with an Ebony leather interior. The styling of the first-generation GT was inspired by Ford's GT40 race cars from the 1960s. Aluminum body panels are mounted over an aluminum space frame that is extruded. This example was one of 237 Mark II Black GTs finished for the model year. It was optioned without the LeMans stripes and had a rear bumper that had been removed during previous ownership. Dual bumperettes have been installed and the removed bumper will go with the car. Clear paint protection film is applied to all painted panels on this example (Stealth Wrap). Equipment includes: front splitter, rear lip spoiler, rear diffuser, windshield wipers removed.
The GT's optional 18-inch front and 19-inch rear forged alloy wheels from BBS are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires measuring 265/40R18 up front and 345/35R19 in the rear. Braking consists of slotted Brembo brake rotors at the front, cross-drilled rotors at the rear, and red-painted calipers on all four corners. A lowered suspension kit is installed, and the double wishbone suspension features unequal-length aluminum control arms, coilover shock absorbers, and stabilizer bars at both axles. Inside, the cockpit has Sparco-designed bucket seats trimmed in black leather with aluminum grommets inspired by the Ford GT40, carbon fiber seat frames, and built-in mounts for racing harnesses. Other interior equipment includes an extruded aluminum center console, matching air vents and trim accents, air conditioning, power windows, aluminum pedals, a short-throw shifter from Ford Racing, and an aftermarket stereo.
