This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 is presented in a stunning Silver metallic paint along with black leather interior. The option list indicates that this 911 was equipped with factory options such as black leather sport seats, Monterey digital cassette radio, limited slip differential, short throw shifter, automatic heating control, and the 16-inch forged alloy wheels.

This Carrera 3.2 is fitted with the 915 5-speed gearbox, with 1986 being the last model year of this transmission. It is known for being lighter weight and purer to racing than the G50 that came the year after in 1987. Enthusiasts love the 915 transmissions for it being in previous Porsche 911 models, with the time that Porsche took to tweak and refine it over the years.
Records show that this 911 Carrera 3.2 was delivered new to Burlington, Vermont in June of 1986. The car lived on the east coast under the original owner until 2013 before making its way across the country, to the sunny state of California. In its 27 years on the east coast, the car was serviced and maintained by Manchester Engine Works in Manchester, Vermont.
The car was inspected by Jim Newton of Auto Associates in 2013 and was reported that it was one of the nicest and most original Carrera 3.2's he had ever seen. It was so good that it led the next owner to buy the car sight unseen. That new owner being lifelong Porsche enthusiast Patrick Long.
Once this Carrera 3.2 came under Patrick Long's ownership, the car went directly to Dieter Inzenhofer, co-founder of Andial and formerly of Vasek Polak Porsche. Dieter did a full service for the car, replacing any rubber or plastic that had aged out, adjusted the valves, and a full oil change. One notable thing that Dieter noticed about this specific Carrera 3.2 was that it was an ultra-pure and preserved car that was meant to be enjoyed and exercised. The car would remain under the care of the notable Porsche collector and enthusiast Patrick Long until present day.
This Carrera 3.2 is known as one of the most original and preserved Carreras to date. With the extensive service history, being in the everlasting care of genuine Porsche enthusiasts, this Carrera 3.2 is a sight to behold. With a full PPF on the car, this Porsche begs to be driven, knowing the car is truly protected from the elements.
