LS Powered Corvette Custom 6.2L V8 Automatic A/C Full Chassis Upgrade ///
During its ground-up rebuild, the car was fully disassembled and carefully massaged to a better-than-factory appearance. Ultra bright White 2-stage paint is highlighted with a '67 style Stinger hood, side gills, and stripe that has been extended to the rear of the car, paying homage to the storied Grand Sport cars that era. Custom widened quarter panels both front and back allow for ultra wide tires required for a pro-touring style build such as this. The custom look continues with extended front and side fascia as well as one-off custom front bumpers.
Open thehood and you'll find 6.2L of LS3 V8 that has been livened up with a hot cam and headers. With 400 horsepower and 410 lb./ft. of torque, the all-aluminum 6.2L rumbles between the car's fenders and looks good doing it with custom coil covers and a polished intake tube. A stout, aluminum Dewitt radiator and dual electric fans have been called in to handle cooling.
Underneath you will find a new full custom chassis from Vette Frame that's been dipped in Gloss Black paint and suspended by C4 Corvette components front and rear. Behind the engine a 6 speed automatic overdrive transmission allows for quick acceleration and comfortable highway rpms. A statement unheard of with the original Powerglide. The modern drivetrain rides on a C4 Corvette independent suspension, which backs aluminum control arms with upgraded coil over shocks at all four corners. Turns come courtesy of modern power rack-and-pinion steering. Smooth and solid stops are provided by 4-wheel disc brakes upgraded with large Wilwood calipers and four drilled and slotted rotors front and rear. All the power meets the pavement through polished 18” Billet Specialties wheels, wrapped in 245/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 tires.
Inside you'll find an all new red interior that's been tastefully updated to enhance the car's usability. The leather wrapped dash includes a large Sony touch screen radio aside trick Intellitronics gauges and knobs for the car's Vintage Air climate control. Under that dash, a custom console houses power window switches and centers a booted lokar shifter between Al Knoch upholstered bucket seats. And in front of the driver, a thick wood rim wheel spins around a tilting Flaming River column.
