Make Offer Questions?Although Oldsmobile used the Starfire name in the past, it was used as a sub-model. The first generation stand alone Starfire came in 1961 and would be built through 1966 and would be built and marketed as a performance oriented Grand Tourer. It would be loaded with standard equipment including leather bucket seats, center console with tachometer and the first US full-sized production car to feature an automatic console floor shift. Furthermore it had brushed aluminum side panels, fender skirts, power steering, brakes, windows and drivers seat. It also included a powerful and wonderfully sounding 394 Cubic Inch V8 producing nearly 350 HP by 1962. This particular absolutely stunning driver quality Starfire comes out of a collection of many other Oldsmobiles. This car has had a re-paint many years ago and still shows very nicely with a couple very small bubbles in the paint and some other wear and tear but nothing critical whatsoever. This unit starts perfectly, idles almost instantaneously, shifts perfectly and goes down the road straight and true with no known issues of smoke, smells or noises. I have put a few miles on this car and it gets all the looks. It is fun to drive and is quite nimble as well as powerful. These are excellent cars to get your feet wet in to the hobby based on value.
