1972 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup
It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the most celebrated trucks on the planet. From the AK era forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this righteous purple people eater is just the latest in a series of sweet C/K head turners.
For consignment a resto-mod C-10 with all the right moves…straight panels…Check!...great chrome…Check!...A new Interior...Check!, and a powerful mill….Check! If you have an affinity for purple Check! This truck out.
Exterior
A shaved modified rear with widened fender tubs for a lower ride, dripping in purple, is seen at the very back. A new bed lined with white oak, and purple dividers shines brightly. Moving forward to the cab it's also draped in purple with chrome surrounds on the doors and windshield as well as rear window. The front of the truck shows pretty much standard C-10 hood and grille, both in near perfect condition again hood and front fenders painted in…. purple! Polished Eagle alloys are strapped to all 4 corners.
Interior
A light gray cloth covered bench stretches from door panel to door panel and has dark gray bolsters. White vinyl framed by purple metal make up the door panels. A Sheridan style pattern frames horizontal pleating, and a white arm rest. An original C-10 style dash with an added steering column tachometer is fronted by an original steering wheel which is showing cracking. The floor is carpeted with purple thick pile carpeting, and gray carpet floor mats. The center of the dash has an aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette radio, and 3 new gauges hanging from below.
Drivetrain
Simple yet very effective a 1970's 400ci Small Block fed by an Edelbrock Scorpion Intake, topped by a Holley 750 CFM carburetor is in the pristine engine bay. Headers help this mill exhale, and exhaust system is in good condition. A TH 350 3-speed automatic transmission is attached and shifts smoothly.
Undercarriage
Showing very clean, black paint in excellent condition save for some water drips, is broken up by a purple driveshaft.
A fine job on this restoration gives this C-10 a unique look, all the while retaining its mostly original form. Imagine a purple hay hauler, lowered, beautiful bed, and powerful engine. I think it would be safe to say this ain't no farm truck!
