Rare 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 40th Anniversary Up For Sale

All of the C4 ZR-1 Corvettes are special just due to the limited production numbers, but some build combinations are even more rare. Take this 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 for example. Of the 448 units built for the 1993 model year, 13 were painted in Competition Yellow you see here, and according to the listing Carolina Muscle Cars, only six came with the Arctic White leather interior. Adding to the rarity, apparently just two of these Competition Yellow with white interiors were sold in the U.S.

They don't get any cleaner than this ZR-1 either as this car has had just one owner, and it was meticulously maintained and stored over the years to preserve its incredible condition. Even better, this car has amazingly low miles with just 7,801 miles on the odometer, and it comes with all of the original documentation including the Monroney sticker as well as original trinkets like the ZR-1 pen and key chain. The original owners chose to option this car with the two-top option (a $950 option back then), which included a body-color top as well as a transparent glass top.

For performance enthusiasts, the 1993 through 1995 ZR-1s are more desirable as the 5.7-liter LT5 V-8 saw an increase in output these years up to 405 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. All ZR-1s were equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, and this car was one of the fastest of its era setting several speed records.

With the increased engine output came a decrease in ZR-1 production with 1993 through 1995 model years being the lowest six-year production run (1990 to 1995). As a whole, the 1993 model year was a big one for the Corvette as it celebrated the sports car's 40-year anniversary.
