This 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Turbo is dressed in the factory-correct Silver Metallic coating with a level of gloss and shine that radiates from every inch. The paint is even believed to be original to the car, and goes to show just how much love and care this car received for nearly four decades. The sporty T/A package includes the full body kit with front air dam, wide fender flares, and the full-width rear spoiler that add to its appeal. You'll also love the turbo-specific details, like the offset hood scoop and special alloys. The trim is a beautiful, cool-coordinating blue that complements the bold and iconic hood bird that sits front and center.

The interior comes loaded from the factory and is just as well preserved as the exterior. The black cabin looks great against the sleek silver exterior and features a set of cloth bucket seats. You will be amazed at just how nice the original presentation is on this Firebird Trans Am Turbo. Noteworthy cabin features like power windows and locks, special three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum dash, full gauge package, electric rear defogger, cruise control, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo. The air conditioning system has also been converted to an R134a to help keep you super cool in the summertime.

Open the hood and you’ll find a 4.9-liter turbocharged V8 motor was only offered for two years. It is easy to instantly identify this setup with the offset air topper that makes room for the turbocharger. You will be pleased to know that this very correct-looking engine bay also contains the original numbers-matching motor. What’s more, this Trans Am Turbo boasts great handling thanks to the desirable WS6 package. It includes larger sway bars, tighter steering box ratio, and four-wheel disc brakes. This particular option made the Trans Am a favorite among most automotive magazines during that time. When you factor in the power steering and TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, and you've got a highly enjoyable cruising package.
