To pay homage to the original Carrera RS 2.7, the Rennsport name was brought back to life and attached to the Porsche 964 Carrera model. The lightweight 964 was built strictly as a performance powerhouse, so it lacks creature comforts such as air conditioning, radio, and power windows. However, it does have a solid seam-welded chassis, a potent power plant, revised suspensions, and Recaro bucket seats.

In September of 1991, this Porsche was sold new in Wuppertal, Germany. In 1997, it was sold to its second owner, and again sold in 2005 to an English barrister. In 2017, this Porsche was traded in to a German Porsche dealer where the consignor purchased the car. The consignor, a Porsche expert, confirmed that this 964 Carrera RS is a highly original example.

Powering this Porsche is a numbers-matching 3,605cc SOHC air-cooled flat six-cylinder engine topped with Borsch electronic fuel injection that generates an impressive 271-brake-horsepower.
